Purple flower bulbs
From almost black to lilac.
Purple runs from tulips that look black at dusk to alliums that lean towards lilac as soon as the sun falls on them. Everything that flowers purple stands together here, from February into June. Put two shades of purple next to each other and you get depth.
You plant in autumn, from September through November; tulips can go in until mid-December. Purple crocuses open in February, tulips follow in April and May, and the alliums close it off in May and June.
Give the large alliums room: at least 20 cm apart, in full sun. Tulips go closer together instead, about 10 cm, and the block fills up nicely.
