Description
Royal purple with bluish undertone, so densely packed it looks like a peony rose. This double late tulip grows to fifty centimeters and blooms in April and May. Every flower is a full tutu of petals.
Negrita Double is the fuller sister of the popular Triumph tulip Negrita. The extra rows of petals give a luxurious, abundant effect. Single tulips never achieve that. Plant them close together for maximum drama. Or choose one spot where you can really admire it. It looks lovely in water too. The warm purple attracts bees and butterflies. White or orange beside it gives playful contrast.
The Exuberant. Full layers of purple, peony-style, lavish and unapologetic.
