Description
The poet's narcissus. Pure white with a small red-rimmed eye in the middle. Delightfully fragrant, and incredibly strong naturalizer.
Recurvus is also known as Pheasant's Eye. That red eye gives the flower its character. This is one of the oldest daffodil varieties. It is connected to the Greek myth of Narcissus himself. Poets and connoisseurs love it. The scent is intoxicatingly strong, especially on warm days. Late-blooming (April and May) and exceptionally long-lasting as a cut flower. Naturalizes fantastically: once planted, only more every year.
