Description
Autumn crocus: when the garden season seems over, Speciosus appears. Naked: only the flower, the leaf comes in spring. Lilac-pink to bright blue.
This is an autumn crocus that blooms around late October. Almost all other bulbs have already faded by then. The flowers are naked: in autumn you see only the flower. The fine, elegant leaf follows in spring. Lilac-pink or bright blue with yellow flower base and orange-red stigma. Care: full sun is decisive. In shade it flowers briefly but disappears within a few years. In full sun it comes back for decades. A trait of all crocuses: the flowers close in dull weather. Suitable for borders, lawn, pots.
