Size and height
Grows to about 75 - 110 cm tall. An egg-shaped burgundy head with a striking white tuft of longer flowers on top.
Playful flower head: round, dark purple to almost black. A funny green tuft of flowers sits on top. This is not a classic allium, but an eye-catcher. June to August, on stems up to 1.5 metres.
Allium Forelock is a relatively recent introduction to the market. You see at once why it stands out. That 'tuft' on top makes it playful rather than solemn. The English name is spot-on. Dark purple with green tones, compact-built but generous with flowers. Under ideal conditions (full sun, rich well-draining soil) it grows substantially tall. Perfect as a cut flower, and if you leave it, it stands beautifully for months. Unexpected, witty, and grown-up all at once.
The Jester. A punk-allium with a green quiff.
The bulbs come from the Dutch bulb fields. Hand selected for quality and size, and delivered at the right planting time. A larger bulb holds more food, and you see that in the flower: more blooms, and fuller.
We offer our 100% Bloeigarantie. If nothing comes up, send us a message. You will get new bulbs, or your money back.

Deer and roe deer usually leave these flowers alone, so your work stays standing.

You can have flowers without a garden. A few pots are enough.

Plant in autumn and enjoy a sea of colour in spring.

Plant once, get more flowers every spring.

With the right bulbs you give bees and butterflies their first food.

Cut a bunch whenever you like. Grown by you, and it shows.

That tricky spot under the tree? There are bulbs for that.

Give flowers that come back every year, not a bunch that wilts.
