Description
Golden-yellow Martagon lily with dozens of tiny nodding flowers per stem. June to August a fragrant fountain of light. Pale gold and refined, up to 150cm.
Guinea Gold is also a Martagon type, the turban lily with swept-back petals. Extremely hardy and shade-tolerant: perfect for woodland and mixed borders. Lightly scented. Plant in groups of three to five. Soil type matters little. After a few years a permanent fixture that blooms increasingly full. Deer and rabbits leave it alone. At home beneath trees and in half-shade.
