Description
Red with yellow heart, very tall and proud. A true emperor tulip. Double, scented and the favorite of florists. Blooms in April and May. A Darwin Hybrid.
Darwin Hybrids were created in 1943. Breeder Dirk Lefeber crossed the Darwin tulip with Tulipa fosteriana. The result is large, sturdy tulips on long stems, ideal as cut flowers. This cultivar is indeed the world's favorite. Red and yellow, very tall, and proud from top to bottom. Excellent cut flower. Sturdy stems for large arrangements. Use them as background in borders. Scented and bee-friendly. Every bulb produces something special.

Rule of thumb: plant a bulb two to three times as deep as the bulb is tall. The exact depth and spacing for this variety are on the planting card attached to the bag and in the planting guide we send along.
