Description
A peony tulip in yellow-red with full double bloom. Colours like a sunset. April, May.
Sundowner is a double late tulip. It is called a peony tulip because it has so many petals. Red heavily striped with mango-yellow, a colour mix that evokes evening. Height 40 to 50 centimetres. Scented. A fine cut flower, especially if you want full, lasting blooms. Good for pots. Not naturalizing. Plant fresh each season. Plant it in groups of five, so those full blooms show best. Combine with white or dark purple for calm beside that fire. This is for those who want the peony look but in tulip form.
The Twilight Glow. Red and yellow so mixed that it truly looks like a sunset.
