Description
A purple-white fringed tulip. The edge looks like it was made with care. Refined, long, distinctive. April, May.
Siesta belongs to the fringed tulips, a group where the petal edge recalls fine crystals. Purple with white is classic and feels unexpectedly refined. Height 45 to 55 centimetres, so substantial, a fine cut flower. Good for pots. Scented. That fringed edge is loveliest up close: it asks to be enjoyed. Plant in groups, pair with more purple or white. Short-lived as a perennial: one season, then it is done.
