Description
A tulip that shifts in colour. It opens soft apricot, ripens through pink and cream to salmon. Scented, a rare luxury in tulips. April, May.
Sanne is a Triumph tulip, bred from the Lilyflowering Ballerina. That is where the scent comes from. Truly scented therefore: on opening a gentle, subtle perfume. The colour shift is the best part. On the way the flower is lovelier than at the start. Height 40 to 50 centimetres. Plant in groups, especially if you want to see the colour show. A fine cut flower. Good for pots and borders, anywhere you want soft-scented luxury. Note: this is a short-lived perennial. You may see a few return next year, but not reliably. So plant fresh each year, or enjoy it for one season.

Rule of thumb: plant a bulb two to three times as deep as the bulb is tall. The exact depth and spacing for this variety are on the planting card attached to the bag and in the planting guide we send along.
Fully grown, this tulip reaches about 40-50 cm. Useful to know for the order in your border: low at the front, tall at the back.
