Description
Double flowers like a peony: full layers of purple and yellow petals overlapping one another. Large and full, all the more so because it's a Late and blooms longer.
Quatar is a Double Late tulip (also called a peony tulip). That name is not coincidental. The extra full layer of petals truly resembles a peony. The purple and yellow mix makes the flower even more playful. Height around 45 centimeters, sturdy stems carrying those heavy blooms. Fragrant. Plant in sun or half shade, in well-draining soil. Because the flowers are so full, they are mainly used in bouquets. They make an impact, almost dramatic. Bee-friendly, butterfly-friendly. Low-maintenance. In large groups in the border this gives much character and luxuriance.
