Description
Layered deep red, warm brown and nearly black, looks redder when the sun hits it. This double late tulip blooms in April and May. The velvet surface is unmistakable. Full, cup-shaped double flowers stand against pale green foliage.
Palmyra is a true color composition, not one tone but an interplay. Plant it where light can play on that velvet texture. It looks wonderful in large pots. Add dusty mauve or fresh green beside it for contrast. In water, Palmyra lasts for weeks and is a special gift. The depth of color draws the eye and gives calm.
