Its warm shell pink and white double blooms are layers of soft petals, each one slightly different, building into something extraordinary. Its season arrives in April to June, and for a few weeks the garden becomes something genuinely romantic. Indoors or out, this is a tulip that earns its place every year. As a cut flower it is exceptional — strong stems hold the bloom upright for well over a week, making it as valuable to the vase as it is to the border.
