Description
Strawberry ice cream in bloom. Deep red, some petals toward deep pink. Base petals with green marking. Very densely packed, peony-flowered double. Ice Cream Strawberry is rare in the trade, which makes her even more special.
Double late tulips are also called peony-flowered tulips. That is thanks to all those extra layers. With Ice Cream Strawberry that creates a tight package. It really looks like a strawberry ice cream. Forty to fifty centimetres. April and May. Excellent cut flower. She holds for weeks. Plant in groups so the full effect is visible. She wants good drainage and full sun. Double tulips are sensitive to wet feet. The green marking at the base adds extra depth.
