Description
Densely packed double tulip: layers of silky petals in banana-yellow. A miniature peony. The name fits: creamy yellow, soft, seductive. You want to smell it.
Ice Cream Banana is part of the Ice Cream family. Tulips that really look like an ice cream ball when they fully open. Banana-yellow means warm yellow, not bright yellow. Forty to fifty centimetres. Plant close to your house or sitting spot so you can appreciate the detail. They do well in pots too. Groups as colour blocks work best. April and May. They can stand alone as a focal point. Good drainage is essential. Cut flower too: they hold well, especially if you pick them half-open.

Rule of thumb: plant a bulb two to three times as deep as the bulb is tall. The exact depth and spacing for this variety are on the planting card attached to the bag and in the planting guide we send along.
