Description
Botanical tulip: small, early, light yellow, compact. Honky Tonk is a species that returns yearly and multiplies itself. If you let it stand. Perfect for those who don't want to dig them up.
Botanical tulips are not hybridized. They're wild forms or direct selections from them. Honky Tonk blooms in March and April, very early. Twenty to twenty-five centimetres. Soft yellow, grey-green leaf, lightly wavy. She naturalizes reliably in good places. Plant at least one hundred bulbs per square metre for dense effect. They want well-draining soil. Waterlogging is their enemy. Once planted, they come back on their own. Bee plants. Suitable for borders, rock gardens, pots. Very low maintenance.
