Description
White with red flames. This pattern echoes the famous broken tulips. They come from the seventeenth-century tulip mania. Grand Perfection is a modern tribute to that history.
Her creamy white is shot through with red flames. That makes her resemble the old Rembrandt tulips. Those once commanded astronomical prices. Here the pattern is stable and healthily bred. She is a Triumph tulip, so sturdy stem, reliable grower. Forty to fifty-five centimetres. Plant her in groups where you can see the contrast well. The red-white combination pairs with many other plants: pastels, deeper pink, green. Excellent cut flower for both classical and modern bouquets. Blooms April to May. Sun and good drainage are all she asks.
