Description
In April and May, Francoise shows a taut, creamy white flower on a strong stem. She grows 45 to 55 centimeters tall. These are triumph tulips. The largest, strongest group. Classic French elegance.
Francoise is a triumph tulip, born around 1923 from crossing early and late tulips. She shows what that group can do: sturdy build, nice shape, reliable bloom. That taut white tone is refined. Not washed out, but creamy. Plant in full sun or half shade. Perfect in pot and border. Beautiful as a cut flower: that strong stem holds without support. Combines well with other tulips or with evergreens.
