Description
In March, April, and May, Flaming Purissima opens early. Soft pink flames on cream-white, 35 to 45 centimeters tall. This is a Fosteriana tulip, so early and strong. It is a colored sport of the famous Purissima.
Flaming Purissima descends from 'Purissima', that famous garden tulip known for early, sturdy blooms. Fosteriana tulips bloom early and have large flowers on strong stems. This is one of two groups most likely to return in your garden. Those soft pink flames give her charm without screaming. Fragrant with a sweet, refined scent. Plant in full sun. Very strong in a vase. That balanced color choice makes her versatile: fitting in many garden schemes.
