Description
In April and May, Dow Jones appears as a two-toned triumph. Red with a contrasting gold-yellow edge. She grows 40 to 50 centimeters tall on sturdy stems. A triumph tulip that dares.
Triumph tulips emerged around 1923 from crossing early and late tulips. This is one of the finest results: red that gets yellow. The yellow runs from the flower base outward as the bloom ripens. The color shift widens each day. Sturdy stems, wind and weather resistant (typical triumph). Plant in full sun or half shade. Beautiful in pot and vase. The name refers to the stock market. Fitting for tulips that grow in value every day.
