Description
In April and May, Double Shake trembles open into a full, peony-like flower. She is cream to butter yellow with rose speckles. She grows 40 to 50 centimeters tall and lasts long. A very new Dutch breeding.
Double Shake is new. She was bred only recently in the Netherlands, from the cross 'Shiun' × 'Evita'. She arrives in gardens for the first time. The flower shape changes as she ages: first magnolia-like, later peony-like. That color shift happens at the same time: from cream to butter with rose. She is strongly scented. Florists seek out just this warm, fine fragrance. The long bloom time gives you weeks of pleasure.
The Surprise. Very young, fragrant, in the process of transforming, passionate.
The bulbs come from the Dutch bulb fields. Hand selected for quality and size, and delivered at the right planting time. A larger bulb holds more food, and you see that in the flower: more blooms, and fuller.
