Description
Deep purple-blue colour, as close to blue as tulips can get. Triumph tulip, 40 to 50 centimetres, April-May. Scented, cut flower, sturdy.
Blue Beauty is a purple-blue Triumph tulip. A truly blue tulip does not exist in nature. Tulips lack the biochemical pigment, so "blue" names refer to deep purple-blue tones. Blue Beauty is as close to blue as it gets. Triumph group, sturdy, mid-season, scented. 40 to 50 centimetres. April-May bloom. Plant in full sun to part shade, good drainage. Good cut flower indoors. Great in borders, pots, mass plantings. Contrasts beautifully with warm yellow or orange. Bees and butterflies love this colour richness.
