Description
Golden yellow with red edge that deepens into the yellow petals as it ripens. Darwin Hybrid, very tall, May, large bloom. Colour that shifts before your eyes.
Beauty of Spring is a very tall Darwin Hybrid with large flowers. Colour shift: golden yellow with a thin red edge. As it ripens, that red "bleeds" further into the yellow petals. Differently on each petal. 50 to 60 centimetres. Blooms mid to late season. Strong stems, great for garden and vase alike. Scented. Plant en masse. One or two loose specimens do nothing. A drift of ten or more gives the effect. Full sun to part shade, good drainage. Combine with Red Impression, Parade or Oxford Wonder.
The Colour-Shifter. Yellow does not stay yellow, and red grows stronger.
