Deep purple, sturdy and reliable. Triumph tulip, 40 to 50 centimetres. April-May, scented cut flower. No frills, no quirks. Pure strength in colour.
Atlantic is a Triumph tulip, the largest group (since 1923). Deep purple, scented, strong stems. 40 to 50 centimetres tall. Low-maintenance, reliable grower. Blooms April to May. Triumph tulips flower mid-season, between the early and the late groups. Plant in full sun to part shade, good drainage. Great cut flower. Indoors it holds for weeks. Suited for borders, pots and group planting. Pairs beautifully with white, yellow or other warm tones for contrast. Bees and butterflies love him.
