Description
Striped squill: ice-blue flowerlets with darker blue stripe on each petal. February, March, April. Subtle but not invisible. It's a cautious statement.
Full sun to half shade; well-draining; frost-hardy. Naturalizes via self-seeding into "blankets"; small carpets that grow bigger every year. Low maintenance. Rodent and rabbit resistant. Nice for combination planting and pots. Caveat: delicate. In small numbers they have little impact, so plant generously. Combines nicely with snowdrops and crocuses. Scented; not toxic.
