Size and height
Grows to about 8 - 10 cm tall. A rare truly orange snow crocus in clementine gold, marked outside with ruby-black stripes.
True orange is rare among crocuses. Orange Monarch is the first and only true orange crocus on the market. It is named after the monarch butterfly. Warm bronze-orange with purple-black vein lines.
This is a botanical crocus (Crocus olivieri), small-flowered and very early. The orange color with black vein lines on the outside is unique. Suitable for borders, lawn, pots and along paths. Naturalizes well. Leave the leaf alone after flowering. Fragrant, essential food for the first bees. Honest expectation: as a botanical crocus it becomes smaller than the large-flowered vernus crocuses. About ten centimeters tall at most.
The Unique One. There is only one of her kind in this garden.
The bulbs come from the Dutch bulb fields. Hand selected for quality and size, and delivered at the right planting time. A larger bulb holds more food, and you see that in the flower: more blooms, and fuller.
We offer our 100% Bloeigarantie. If nothing comes up, send us a message. You will get new bulbs, or your money back.

Flowers some two weeks before the large crocuses, straight through spring snow showers.

The dark stripes on the outside recall the wings of a Monarch butterfly.

Full of nectar and pollen, so bees and butterflies find your garden effortlessly.
Once planted it spreads on its own and comes back stronger year after year.
Deer and roe deer usually leave these flowers alone, so your work stays standing.
Does very well in a pot, so even with just a balcony or terrace you enjoy it fully.
Plant and leave; it needs hardly any attention and does the rest by itself.

You can have flowers without a garden. A few pots are enough.

Plant in autumn and enjoy a sea of colour in spring.

Plant once, get more flowers every spring.

With the right bulbs you give bees and butterflies their first food.

Give flowers that come back every year, not a bunch that wilts.
