Description
A snow-white little bulb that blooms through winter. Advance appears early in February, long before its bigger brothers. Small, but easy to spot in the grass.
This is a botanical crocus: small and strong, for those who want the earliest. Snow white with fine flowers, fragrant. It naturalizes easily, so more every year. In borders, lawn, pots and along paths it feels at home. The flowers open wide in the sun and close again in cloud and cold. That keeps the pollen dry for the first bees. Leave the leaf alone after flowering; mow only six weeks later.
