Description
March to April: ivory-white with lemon-yellow tints and black base, classy. Concerto stands low, fifteen to twenty-five centimetres, perfect for pots.
This is a Kaufmanniana tulip. That is the group of early, quick bloomers with open-and-close behavior. They have a special feature: they can re-bloom without lifting. You leave them in the ground and next spring you see them again. Early blooming, so you have spring sooner. Long blooming. Softly scented. They tolerate part shade through full sun, so also good for less sunny spots. Plant them in pots so you can move them and enjoy them close up. They do not officially naturalize, but that re-bloom gives an extra plus.
