Description

The waterlily tulips, of which Clusiana is a fine example, open flat in the sun to reveal their full vivid scarlet and ivory beauty. Smaller than many tulips, they are no less captivating — simply different, and quietly wonderful. Blooming in April to June, earlier than most tulips, it heralds the true start of the garden season. Planted in pots or at the front of a border, it creates an immediate sense of spring that larger, later tulips cannot quite replicate. Fragrant as well as beautiful, it fills the air around it with a soft, sweet scent that transforms the garden into somewhere you want to linger.
