Description
March to May: near-black burgundy and creamy white, full peony-like doubles in two colours. Charming stands on a modest stem thirty to forty centimetres tall.
This is a Garden tulip. The group of variable, long-blooming tulips that are common and reliable. They grow mature, not fragile. Plant them in groups of seven to ten. Then that contrast of dark and white gets real impact. They work as cut flowers. They love full sun and well-drained soil. They are bee and butterfly friendly. They do not naturalise, so you are free in your annual colour choices.
