Description
March to April: white with yellow heart, double fill, early blooming. Casanova stands on a short stem thirty to forty centimetres. Not monumental, but striking through that fullness.
This is a Double Early tulip. That group blooms much earlier than the large doubles. They grow compact, so ideal for pots and front-of-border. They smell pleasant. Casanova is fuller than many rivals. That fill helps. They are good cut flowers, though not as heavy as Double Lates. Plant them in groups of seven or more. Then the yellow-white fill shows well. They love full sun. They do not naturalize, so you are not forever bound to this early timing.
