Description
March to May: deep purple and orange, full and steadfast. Bravoure grows on a mid-height stem, forty to fifty centimetres, and stands firmly upright. No drooping weakness: these are flowers with a clear voice.
This mix of double tulips belongs in formal gardens, along an axis, or in broad groups. Plant it where you want purple and orange. Not tentatively in twos, but at least five or seven in one spot. Then the colours speak. They are cut flowers too. Their strength lies more in mass plantings than in quick bouquets. They love full sun and well-drained soil. They do not naturalise, so you are not permanently bound to this colour choice.
