Description

Bastia combines two group characteristics: double (peony-like many petals) and fringed (fine crystalline edge). Red-yellow, scented, long stems. 40 to 50 centimetres. April-May bloom. Plant in full sun to part shade, well-draining. Suited for pots and borders. Good cut flower for indoors. Bees and butterflies love this hybrid tulip. She works as an eye-catcher, because two special features come together. Plant her in groups for the best effect. Combine with plain tulips so the fringes stand out.
