Description
Bright sunny yellow, dramatically striped with scarlet red, glowing embers effect. May, 40 to 50 centimetres, strong stem. A bold splash of colour in the border.
Banja Luka is named after the city in Bosnia and Herzegovina. She was born there in 1974, from a cross between red and yellow Apeldoorns. Bright sunny yellow with dramatic red/scarlet flames giving the effect of glowing embers. 40 to 50 centimetres, strong stem, scented, cut flower. Blooms mid to late spring. Plant in full sun, good drainage. Treat her as an annual (replant each year) for the best results. Unusual since Triumph tulips usually return. Plant in drifts or scattered among soft pastels as contrast.
