Description
White with green flames and burgundy accents. Viridiflora tulip, recognized by the green streaks. Short and sturdy, suited to pots and border edges. Blooms for weeks, lovely as a cut flower.
Artist is a viridiflora tulip, which literally means green-flowering. Characteristic are the green stripes or flames across the petals. Here you see an ombre of peach, orange, pink and plum-purple. Each petal carries a green flame. As it matures those colours fade to muted dusty peach, vintage appeal. Short and sturdy in build, stays upright in wind. Suited for pots, front of borders, and open spots. Blooms for weeks. Lovely cut flower. Scented. Award of Garden Merit from the British Royal Horticultural Society.
