If this were a flower of Rip van Winkle himself, it would fit perfectly. Dwarf narcissus with spider-leg-like yellow petals. In cultivation for more than 130 years.
Rip van Winkle is an old heritage variety with a name you won't forget. Double dwarf narcissus with fantastic, spider-leg-like yellow petals. The whole thing feels woven and spindly. Fragrant too. Not suitable for cutting, but very suitable for naturalising. Compact (15 to 20 centimetres), nice in pots and at borders. Grows better year after year. This type belongs in gardens where time passes.
