Grows to about 10 - 15 cm tall. A tiny, very early reticulata iris with finely marked, jewel-like flowers.
In February the snow is sometimes still there. Then the first ones already appear. Blue dwarf irises of 10 to 15 centimeters.
This is Iris reticulata, for the garden that wakes up early. The petals look finely painted. They carry a soft scent. In a pot they look good by the door. In large groups they make an early parade. Plant them in October. Pick a stony spot where water does not stand. Sun to partial shade is fine. Good drainage matters most. For pollinators this is the first meal after winter. Every year they come back on their own.
The Forerunner. Blooms first, quietly and with a shine.
The bulbs come from the Dutch bulb fields. Hand selected for quality and size, and delivered at the right planting time. A larger bulb holds more food, and you see that in the flower: more blooms, and fuller.
We offer our 100% Bloeigarantie. If nothing comes up, send us a message. You will get new bulbs, or your money back.

Full of nectar and pollen, so bees and butterflies find your garden effortlessly.
Gives off a soft, recognisable scent you notice before you see the flowers.
Once planted it spreads on its own and comes back stronger year after year.
Deer and roe deer usually leave these flowers alone, so your work stays standing.
Not popular with mice and voles, so the bulbs stay safe in the ground.

You can have flowers without a garden. A few pots are enough.

Plant in autumn and enjoy a sea of colour in spring.

Plant once, get more flowers every spring.
