Size and height
Grows to about 20 - 30 cm tall. A bright cherry-red hyacinth on red-brown stems, with a sturdy, straight and full flower spike.
Jan Bos has been in cultivation for over a hundred years, and remains a favourite. Strong crimson red, powerful fragrance, and a flower spike that couldn't be fuller. This is your grandmother's red hyacinth, and she was right.
Where blue hyacinths are blue and pink hyacinths are pink, Jan Bos is truly red. That makes it unique among hyacinths and a strong colour accent in the garden. It holds the Award of Garden Merit, and we don't say that lightly. Plant in groups of three to five bulbs, ten centimetres apart. It looks magnificent in borders and in pots on terraces or balconies. And of course indoors on a glass of water. The fragrance is strong and sweet, exactly what you expect from a hyacinth.
The Classic. A hundred years proven, and still unbeaten.
The bulbs come from the Dutch bulb fields. Hand selected for quality and size, and delivered at the right planting time. A larger bulb holds more food, and you see that in the flower: more blooms, and fuller.
We offer our 100% Bloeigarantie. If nothing comes up, send us a message. You will get new bulbs, or your money back.
