Description
This is the hyacinth that other hyacinths are not. Soft apricot-orange flowers with white edges, a colour you barely see anywhere else. They smell sweet and intense. Plant them where you'll notice them. Make them the first group in the front border. Or set them prominently in a pot on the terrace.
Gipsy Queen is an Award of Garden Merit winner. It stands in Keukenhof for good reason. That orange-salmon tint doesn't fit everywhere, so choose companion plants with care. Combine with purple alliums, white anemones, or other early spring bloomers. Plant in groups of three to five bulbs, ten centimetres apart. It thrives in full sun and semi-shade, in borders or pots. It also excels as a cut flower. On a glass of water indoors it brings its unique fragrance into your home.
The Exotic. Where other hyacinths stay pastel, this one goes apricot.
