Size and height
Grows to about 20 - 30 cm tall. A rare soft yellow hyacinth that ripens to pale ivory yellow, on a sturdy full spike.
Perhaps you grew it on a sunny windowsill last year. This year, plant it in the garden. In March it blooms with all those yellow flowers. City of Haarlem smells strongly, much stronger than you'd expect from a yellow bloom.
The name refers to Haarlem, for centuries the world centre of hyacinth growing. In the eighteenth century, there were already over two thousand cultivars. This pale yellow hyacinth is among the most fragrant of them all. Plant in groups of three to five bulbs. It combines beautifully with blue and pink hyacinths, or plant a bed of yellow alone. On a windowsill in a pot or glass it grows just as well as outside.
The Sunshine-Seeker. Sunny in colour and even sunnier in fragrance.
The bulbs come from the Dutch bulb fields. Hand selected for quality and size, and delivered at the right planting time. A larger bulb holds more food, and you see that in the flower: more blooms, and fuller.
We offer our 100% Bloeigarantie. If nothing comes up, send us a message. You will get new bulbs, or your money back.
