Description
Dancing Queen is double-flowered with red and white stripes in a candy-cane pattern. The flowers are enormous: eighteen centimeters in diameter is no exception. They seem to whirl on the windowsill.
The name is no accident, coming from the ABBA song: this amaryllis dances. Double-flowered means many petals, much fullness, much effect. Two to three stems per bulb bloom one after the other. That gives you months of enjoyment. Six to eight weeks after potting you see the first stem grow. The bulb goes half above the soil in a warm, light spot. Give sparse water first, more later.
