Description
Benfica brings a deep dark red into your home, almost velvety dark. The flowers are large and full of atmosphere, and they ask for little attention. Six to eight weeks after potting you see the full effect on your windowsill.
The dark red color is unusual and luxurious in the amaryllis range. You place the bulb half above the potting soil in a warm, light spot. Keep it lightly moist, not waterlogged. The flower is slender enough for the vase, strong enough to last for weeks. Benfica is a reliable bloomer that always does well.
