Size and height
Grows to about 80 - 100 cm tall. A stately stem with a crown of hanging bells and a green tuft, striking in shape.
April, May: golden yellow hanging bells beneath a green leaf crown ("pineapple crown"). 80 to 100 centimeters. An imperial crown in pure gold. RHS Award of Garden Merit.
The imperial crown grows to spectacular height within weeks. A unique growth rate that always impresses. Good drainage is critical: wet soil rots the large bulb. Plant the bulb on its side so no water collects in it. Set it in sun to half-shade. The distinctive musky fragrance repels deer and rodents, natural protection. Large nectar drops adorn the flowers like jewels. Excellent for cutting. Plant boldly at the back or between other stately perennials for full impact.
The Goldmaker. Yellow that is bigger than color.
Hand selected for quality and size, and delivered at the right planting time. A larger bulb holds more food. You see that in the flower: more blooms, and fuller.
We offer our 100% Bloeigarantie. If nothing comes up, send us a message. You will get new bulbs, or your money back.
