Description
Purple and fiery: mice and squirrels leave Firefly alone. This crocus does not disappear from your garden. Fuller every year.
This is a tommasinianus crocus, and they are rarely dug up by rodents. That's why Firefly naturalizes into a broad, colorful carpet. Suitable for borders, lawn, pots and along paths. The purple flowers open wide in the sun and close again in dull weather. Fragrant. Leave the leaf alone after flowering; mow only six weeks later. Essential food for the first bees. This species is largely immune to the usual threats.
