Allium stipitatum comes from the Pamir Mountains in Central Asia. The cultivar here is 'Glory of Pamir'. Hence that heritage of height and robustness. Those loose, airy globes are built from star-shaped flowers in deep purple. Tall stems give movement in the border. It returns by itself each year, and works as a cut flower. Plant in full sun on well-draining soil, give it room, and enjoy that height.
The Mountain King. Tall, star-shaped purple, captures light well.
The bulbs come from the Dutch bulb fields. Hand selected for quality and size, and delivered at the right planting time. A larger bulb holds more food, and you see that in the flower: more blooms, and fuller.
