Description
A parrot tulip in white-pink-green with curled, fringed petals. No two flowers are alike. April, May.
Silver Parrot is a parrot tulip, born as a spontaneous mutation. The curly, ruffled petals look like feathers. White with pink and green, an unexpected trio. Height 40 to 55 centimetres. The special part: even the leaf is variegated, yellow-ivory edged. So you have colour before the bloom comes. Scented. A fine cut flower. Good for pots. Plant in groups where you want the unexpected. Not naturalizing, so replant each season. This is a variety with character, not for those who want full uniformity.
