Description
Red at the bottom, yellow at the top. This triumph tulip plays with two opposing colours at once. She grows on sturdy stems and blooms full in April and May. The contrast is not subtle. More like: wow, look at this.
Leo Visser is a classic from the triumph group, the workhorse of tulip breeding. Triumph tulips originated around 1923 by crossing early and late types. The result: strong stems, easy to use, good in bad weather. Leo Visser combines this practical package with a colour play that really stands out. Plant her in groups or large blocks, not scattered as a border. In a vase the contrast works beautifully too. She grows to 50 centimetres.
