Description
In April and May, Daydream is honest about color. Yellow opens and shifts toward warm, fiery orange. She grows 50 to 60 centimeters tall on strong stems. This is a Darwin hybrid that transforms itself through the season.
She starts in soft yellow. A small dark spot sits at the heart. As the flower ripens, orange pulls from the middle toward the edge of each petal. The base stays yellow. In a group you see a blend of yellows and oranges all at once. Plant in full sun or half shade. The bloom lasts for weeks. As a cut flower too, she is popular. She even grows more beautifully in a vase than in the garden.
