Description
Spring snowflake: right after snowdrop, and just as large as the giant snowdrop. White with green dot on each petal. March, April. Subtle; invisible until your group stands; then it becomes apparent.
Half shade to full shade; tolerates moist and well-draining soil. Frost-hardy; naturalizes into gradually widening drifts. Low maintenance. Scented; bees welcome. Perfect between woodland plants, under shrubs, in borders where early is better than late. Plant in groups; one bulb does nothing, but ten look like they belong.
