Description
Violet-blue little star with darker stripe on each petal. March, April, May, for weeks. Low grower, perfect as underplanting between tulips and in borders. This is the invisible flower that does everything.
Spring starflower on elegantly arching stems. Full sun to half shade; well-draining; frost-hardy. Naturalizes quickly; mouse and rabbit resistant; low maintenance. Scented. A bruised leaf smells faintly of garlic, allium family. Ideal for pots, between bulbs in borders, for gardens where small makes the difference. Plant in groups for better effect.
