Description
Terracotta Star brings salmon, peach and terracotta tones into your home. That is the warm color of earthenware pots in Southern Europe. Star-shaped flower, dark veining, lighter heart. An amaryllis for those who are tired of red for a while.
Terracotta Star is a reliable cultivar that always does well. It is easy to bring into bloom. Four to six weeks after potting it starts, sometimes even faster. You place the bulb half above the soil in a warm, light spot. Keep it lightly moist. After blooming, let it keep growing and storing food. The leaf withers in late summer. Then a dry, cool rest in the garage or shed. Re-pot it in mid-autumn. With the right cycle it blooms again next year.
